Hello, i'm an happy DVBViewer Pro User, but never used DVBViewer Recording Service and blamed the good Popcorn Hour because it lack tuners support. Just now I'm wondering about the fact that these two fantastic products can "speak" each other and together be the coolest thing I've ever dreamed about.
So, please, can you tell me a little more about this sinergy? Can I really have access to list of programs, EPG, multituner, Common Interface support, scheduled recording and so on from Popcorn Hour and its remote control (obviously accessing a server PC)???
And finally (be patient) can you tell me what the limitation are (at least in your experience of use). Thank you very much.

Using the new version DVB recording service in conjunction with the DVB Viewer PRO Server ( an option you can enable during or after install), it is possible to view the EPG, Channels and stream channels live, although recordings are listed they won't play for me over the DVB recording service, haven't played with it very much so that might be possible as well as setting recordings.

To play recordings I simply map the recording directoy in the Popcorn hour ihome directory on the HTPC.

The remote works fine, you can change channels volume and pause but there is no timeshifting support.

Limitations are still the lack of AAC audio support in the popcorn hour so all channels will stream and play but only TV1 and TV3 with the extra AC3 audio channel will have audio.

Thank you! I'm going to investigate all this from dvbviewer side, because i don't own Popcorn Hour but already pre-ordered the A-110.
On the Popcorn side can you tell me if exists only official firmware and/or it can be possible to costumize and add features, interfaces, menus and codecs to it? I'm also very interested to know, if you use it for HD playing, if it can play flawless a full blu-ray disc ripped to Hard disk or from an USB Blu-ray reader.  I read it can play VC-1 and audio like DTS HD, but can't find people to answer these questions and know if it works fine. Surely i'm going to work heavily on those two products and so you are going to hear of me again on this forum. I'll be glad if you know and can answer some of my question, but still have hundreds in mind....

Official firmware is the way to go , although beta is available but only from the same developers - they are very responsive to user requests by the looks... Not sure about the blueray... might be possible, I would check out the forums at www.popcornhour.com

If you ripping the BD movie with the menu structure in place then the PCH won't play this as it hasn't got Java  abilities.  It will play just the VC1 movie file though..
