Just noticed my recently updated KD-49X7000D doesn't pop up the on-screen keyboard anymore. It does for YT enquiries but not for App Store search, TV settings changes or browser entries etc.

Googling for an answer was hopeless but I know a couple of you guys have the same TV.

It used to be fine but wondering if it is an Android 8.0.0 update issue.

Read the bit that I wrote about the keyboard,

Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot for your reply. That was the problem. The keyboard defaults to the USB device.

However, I haven't been successful in fixing it (apart from removing the USB!). I tried installing a Leankey kbd (English/French) but no change. Can't see it under manage keyboard. And don't really know what I am doing with the leankey thing!

No more time as wife wants the TV! Not urgent, though.

I had the same issue. I think a restart is required from memory
