I got 6 months Sky HDi with a TV I purchased. 2 questions:

1. Does the cabling that runs from the standard Sky Sat Dish to the set-top box need to be changed as part of the HDi setup.

2. What do they do with your current Sky Sat receiver.

Hey,

Just got mine installed, they left the old decoder as I had Mulitroom installed but they would normally take it away. Currently they use the same cabling but this may change and most installs will have to be redone with a twin cable (at Sky's cost according to my Installer).

if its free then i assume you could keep paying for your existing setup and have the HDi installed 'seperately'... although i assume it would make more sense to either return your existing decoder or keep it as a second decoder and pay the multiroom fee instead of continuing to pay full price on the main subscription (is multi-room still $25 per month?)

Yeah Multi room is still $25 but with My Sky HDi you pay $10 an month for HD content, if you have multiroon you don't have to pay it, so technically you get multiroom for $15 a month. but it still costs $25.

Hope your experiense with the HDi box is better than my doctor. he's now on his fourth one.. he's getting really peed of with it compared to his old MySky which has gone fine since day 1..
