My two year old TH-65EZ950U has suddenly developed screen green/brown screen discolouring on about 50% of the screen.
Anyone have any ideas as to cause/issue?

Does it get direct sunlight on the screen? For example if it's coming in a window in the morning or evening when the sun is low in the sky and "panning across" so that one side of the screen gets more sun exposure than the other side.
I doubt it's an electronic fault - though saying it happened suddenly kind of suggests it might be. Are you sure it's not that you've suddenly noticed?
The brown tinge looks like the output from the blue is reduced, blue is by far the first to degrade in normal use, and I'd expect the first to degrade from (UV) light exposure.
Still under warranty? If not easily a CGA claim.
Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

It's definitely happened over a very short period of time, a matter of days, as I'm very sensitive to any picture quality less than optimal. Picture below shows how noticeable the fault is. I'm definitely going to claim repair under CGA, but was interested if anyone else had encountered similar fault before talking to retailer.
Doesn't look right to me. On the plus side, Panasonic are usually pretty good to deal with for CGA stuff. Would recommend trying direct with Panasonic, rather than retailer.
Oh it's definitely not right. To even it out you'd have to watch TV using graduated green-tinted sunglasses, whilst reclining to the right on a sofa.
Have you tried to do a panel refresh ? also I would go to the retailer , I found Panasonic a bit hard nosed when I had a problem .

I visited the retailer today. They will arrange for the Panasonic service agent to visit to assess if they consider CGA repair. I'll update the thread in due course.
I'll run a panel refresh tonight. I suspect it won't help, but good suggestion to run to check.
Seen this issue before with Oled , but its usually there from the start , could be a filter causing it .
Since it’s a premium product, I would hope Panasonic would come to the party. With the big three all pretty much of a muchness with their OLED offerings at the moment, it wouldn’t take much on social media to steer people away from a particular brand.

Just been this process with a Sony OLED (HN fantastic did not even have to moan about CGA). Replacement panel, motherboard and tuner in the end. Felt was going to be a nightmare so held of and wasn't just took a bit to get fixed right as every time they brought it back it faulted again.
Update. Just heard that TV is not repairable and will be replaced with a new TV.
TV was 2 years, 1 month old, so out of warranty. Replacement is under CGA.
Harvey Norman is retailer, were good to deal with.

Bonus, good to hear they came to the party.
If you wouldn't mind, I'd be interested in hearing your feedback on both old and new TV's (I'm presuming they will replace it with a 2019 Panasonic OLED of some description).
I've been curious of late of Panasonic's OLED range, but there is precious little out there about them.

The non-repairable OLED was a 2017 65EZ950. The replacement TV was a 2018 65FZ950.
The latest equivalent release is the 2019 65GZ1000. My understanding is that the 2019 OLED is a significant upgrade over the previous models, but to be honest I haven't delved into is, so someone else may be able to offer more info?

Thanks for that. Yeah, I believe the big differences is the HCX Pro processor and duo-support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. I had heard good things about Panasonic's picture quality, also been looking at the UB820 UHD blu-ray player.
Apparently the GZ950 is still available, but not here apparently. The only difference is a beefier stand on the 1000.
Yep, I contacted Panasonic a few weeks back, which confirmed they’re not bringing in the 950. Kinda frustrating for those like me that will be wall-hanging the tv, ie paying more for a component that won’t even be used!
