Has anybody got their audio out working on the Veon TV?

I've connected my Hi-Fi system, changed the input to AUX on the Hi-Fi, yet the sound still comes from the TV speakers. How do I get my speaker to play the sound? I can't find anything in the TV config to force sound to the audio out jacks.

Link to manual 49" version of 4K TV.

Edit:

Sound keeps playing on TV, no matter the input

  • DTV
  • Chromecast via HDMI
  • PC via HDMI

I have also changed between the HDMI & HDMI (ARC) ports.

Thanks, 😧 but that didn't work. I believe that also refers to item #2 in the above screenshot, not #3

You should not have to force it to do anything, are you sure you have it connected to the auxiliary input in your receiver?
If you want to test the cables if you disconnect them from the TV, turn the volume up on the receiver and tap your fingers on the end of the plug and you should hear a hum / buzz.
If you don’t hear anything either the cables are faulty or it’s not connected to the correct input.

I have a later model of this TV and have it working with optical output to an Amazon Echo Studio device... No setting change was needed, it just worked.

Aaron Davies has some extra useful info on Veon TV's, but nothing specific to my problem.

I connect my Veon to my amp from the headphones jack. That way I can use the TV remote to adjust the volume and leave my amp at a set volume.

Went through the setup again, this time slowly. That got the RCA jacks working.

Decided to go with lookout's setup. Sound seems "cleaner / crisper / clearer" coming from the headphone jack.

Thanks for the feedback & suggestions.
