I recently bought a Elgato 250 Plus to use with my Mac Book Pro and I haven't been able to get it going. It works when I use the little antenna how ever I can't get it to work when I connect it to my television and sky. Does anyone know where I might be able to get a technician to call in to install the equipment for me? i'm based in west auckland. Is it possible to record sky channels on the elgato if it is setup right?

To record Sky you need to select the analogue input (eg svideo) and connect to skybox using composite and svideo cable.FreeView should work with terrestrial roof aerial in the same way that you use the small antenna

Thanks for the information and I have got Elgato up and running on the digital frequency and the picture looks great. I have analogue stations that aren't great where in the back of sky or the television do i put the cables?
