Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to come up with a best possible setup for my Vista Media Center HTPC and I wanted to get an idea of the best possible setup.
I have currently a system with the following hardware/software:
Pentium 4 D 3.2GHz
2GB RAM
75GB HDD
DVD-RW
nVidia EN7200GS 256MB PCI-e
Hauppauge HVR-3000
VisionDTV Sat-Express Digital Sat TV PCI Card (with DVB In and DVB Out)
Windows Vista Ultimate using Vista Media Center with TV Pack 2008 (including the now-broken Scheduled Recordings feature)
What I want to achieve is being able to use the Analogue part of the HVR-3000 to pickup PrimeTV via UHF. I also want to use the DVB-S tuners to get all the Freeview channels.
I've seen some pre-TV Pack 2008 hacks on this, but I wanted to make it run as smooth as possible. Also, I'm in Taranaki, so Freeview HD (DVB-T) is out of the question.
I have experimented with the TunerApp program that is supposed to enable more then 2 tuners in Vista, but I've had no luck thus far.
Any ideas/input?
