Hello. Are there any good universal remotes that are both Bluetooth and infrared capable?
I looked at harmony 650 and 655 and both say not Bluetooth.

Wanna be able to control my tv, Vodafone tv, blueray player which are all infrared and my htpc which is Bluetooth.
Atm using a very cheap Bluetooth remote that has some infrared functions so I can control the tv and htpc.

Harmony Elite or Companion. The ones that come with hub support IR, Bluetooth & Wifi control.

They're pricey but worth every penny. Easy to use with a phone app also if the other half has misplaced the physical remote.

This Harmony Companion has gotten absurdly cheap lately, even cheaper than when I bought it. Unless you have over 8 devices or want to pay over twice the price for the pretty Elite remote, its a great buy. The app is a little bit clunky sometimes, but it gets the job done.

And once you have the hub, you can always add the Elite remote down the road if you really want.

Always worries me when Mightyape and PBtech have it for $100 more than a random place like ultimate tech. Always worry will I actually receive the device.

If a device is not listed can you do remote learning? And what does the hub plug into? or is it just powered and then wifi?

You can learn and the hub just plugs into wifi. From memory, the companion doesn't have IR on the remote itself so the hub needs to be able to see your devices.

The hub is WiFi connected and comes with a a plugin IR sensor that will need a LOS to a device. The sensor has a 1m-ish long cord, so can be placed away from the hub.

oh ok so the hub is wifi connected has a ir sensor on it that can be upto 1m from the hub. That it sensor has to see the or devices.(that foils my plans no where to put it line of sight to all devices) The hub is also Bluetooth? As my computer is controlled via Bluetooth, and that's the remote the Logitech will have to learn

Yes the hub is also bluetooth.

You can also add 2 IR blasters for equipment in other parts of an AV cabinet.
