I suspect I am going to be somewhat embarrassed when shown the error of my ways but here goes.

I have installed Plex on my Nvidia shield tv and I also have connected the Shield to my NAS but I cant for the life of me see how to get Plex to connect to the NAS to play my media.

I'm sure its something simple but I think the lockdown jellified a lot of my braincells.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

You installed plex client or plex server?

Is there plex server installed?

Once logged in to plex server, add library

First time plex client loggin, you will be asked to sync plex online. Done.

Plex requires both a Server and a Client. Fortunately you can enable both on the Shield. You will need to add some libraries to the Plex server. When you add them use the path to a folder on the NAS.

Thanks for the replies, the version on the Shield was out of date, just had to be updated. Now I have found my content so all is good.
