Hi guys,

I have a video card with a DVI output on it, I have a DVI to HDMI video cable to go to my reciever, sounds good right?, but problem is no sound obviously.  I've talked to a few home theatre people and they all seem to say there is no way to configure a reciever to recieve hdmi video and rca audio simultaneously.

So I'm left wondering is there a way to get my sound from my sound card pumped into the same HDMi cable.  Kinda sounds far fetched, but I dont imagine I'll be the first person to be in this situation.

Any help wuould be great guys!!

Cheers

Hadley

I was in Jaycar yesterday and saw precisely what you need in their new mailer. A HDMI audio injector that allows you to plug in you video signal (they had 3 models - VGA, component or DVI) and the audio signal and them output as HDMI.

I can't seem to see these on the Jaycar site yet so there is a chance they may not yet be in stock. I don't have the mailer here either so can't tell you a product code but if you ring Jaycar I'm sure they'll be able to give you some info.
