Hi, everybody! just a newbie here in geek. Been scanning thru different topics re: Satellite dish/freeview and dreambox dm-500.
Can anybody point me to the right info regarding proper installation of Satellite Dish and configuring Dreambox DM-500 for freeview?
I have the following specs: satellite dish = 1.2m prime focus; brand name = dish tv
                                       lnb              = C Band with dual polarity; model = SCF-211 LNBF; input freq. = 3.4-4.2GHZ;
                                                             output freq = 950-1750MHZ.

Problem is: 1) Set up already done for dish and lnb, just like to confirm setting for Freeview with this dish?
                 2) What is proper configuration for this lnb - dual polarity? Vertical Lo = 5150 Horizontal Lo=5750?
                     Please help on this, I am really confused with this lnb setup in my Dreambox DM-500.
                 3) Is it possible to DCC Dreambox DM-500 with null modem cable with one end connected to USB using USB converter
                     from DB25? What is recommended software to access DreamBox DM-500?

There is topic for this one but was locked and closed long time ago. Hope anybody can help me out, my location is in Auckland, NZ and was hoping to load new PLI with NZ setting already. Can anybody help???????

Freeview isn't on C band so the LNB is useless. Try Ku band.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

a c-band dish eh, very nice.

if you want help getting your c-band dish up and running, pop over to Austech, there's lots of people on there with expertise and experience on getting these puppies up and running.

As was already stated, you don't need it for Freeview, but if it's pointing at the right bird, you can get lots of other stuff.
