Our Veon 55" TV starting flickering recently when turning on. Presume it was a heat related issue, as after 10-20 mins the flickering would reduce then it would operate fine. This got longer until it stopped displaying altogether. It only cost $500 on sale, so don't really want to spend $150 to diagnose an issue that is not worth repairing anyway.

Anyone had something similar with a Veon? Hoping it might be a known issue and just a capacitor or something!

How old is the TV? If within an appropriate timeframe it may well fall on TWG to fix (or, more likely, replace) it.

But if that’s a no-goer, then given the price/quality you may well be better off looking at buying a new set...

Remember they have a 2 (or 3) year warranty.

We had one of ours do a similar thing (it was a smaller model) and the repaired it without any issues.

1 year outside of the 3 year warranty. Just tried but no can do "A TV is only supposed to last 3 years" 🤣

Yup, 4 years old. I spoke to the local Warehouse branch today and good dude I spoke to said "off the record, call head office and quote the consumer guarantees act and they will probably bend over for you". Legend 😂

I had read that consumer link already, but alas their opinion is that 3 years is all that should be expected!?? Bit piss poor I reckon, despite the low purchase price.
