Could some please help me with my home theatre...

Ive got a DAV-DZ570 Sony home theatre and im trying to get the best quality conection with my Sony bravia 40S400A Tv and Hyundai hss-760A digital receiver. Im hoping i can output vid and sound from digital receiver to home theatre and then hdmi from home theatre to tv. Also when you change the function on the home theatre from dvd/audio/FM/TV etc where does it receive 'tv' from. Thats where i want my digital receiver to kick in, instead on selecting different input channels on the tv

Would love some help :D

Heres a Picture of the backs of all my units... http://www.bencraig.com/misc/digital.jpg

Hi, the best setup is to have your DAVs run HDMI to your TV, and get a SCART to component video cable or adaptor and run component directly from your Hyundai to the TV, so to select to watch FreeView or the DVD/DAVs you select either Component video input or HDMI on the TV, ie there is no video switching in the Davs. If you get a SCART to component cable thats also wired with audio you can take that direct to the TV input aswell so you can get sound without having the DAVs on, listening to the news on 5.1 surround can be tiresome.

As there is no AC3 on the FreeView sat service I would just use the RCA analog RCA audio from the Hyundai to the DAVs RCA audio [5] so you can get audio out the DAVs when you want more sound than what the TV speakers provide, alternatively you could use the spdif coax digital connection between the Hyundai and Davs, but probably little advantage.

When you select TV on the Davs it simply selects whats connected to the RCA TV/Video input [5] or digitial spdif port[10] if active.
