Hi all

My retired parents are looking for a TV Box where you can use Google PlayStore so they can sign up the Hong Kong TVB television services.  What do you guys suggest?  Nothing fancy just so they can watch their TV channels and video on demand with that service.

Cheers.

Are your folks in NZ ? If so, is the HK TVB open to global connections or will need a VPN ?

Yes, it's available in NZ the website says.  They are currently accessing the trial with an iPad to the TV but not that intuitive for them..  It is a paying subscription service.

I have a Mi Box S which I recommend, but I can't find it anywhere. I can find the Mi Stick which might be the new version. I prefer the Mi Box because I can plug in a USB Ethernet adapter. It runs Kodi and just about anything else Android.

It's not available for my Mi Box 4, neither. Although it's available in NZ.

The service sells their own STB. Says it's not currently compatible with Netflix nor Amazon Prime.

Here is their list of certified devices.
