Hi, just bought a panasonic th-50pz850, and am looking at different options for playing media from my pc onto the tv.

So just woundering about SD cards, if I put say a .mkv file from my computer onto a SD card and slotted it into the TV would it play?

The manuel states

"Viewing from SD CardPhoto View: Still images recorded by digital cameras will be displayed.Movie View: Moving pictures recorded by digital video cameras will be played back."

So does this mean JUST videos recorded by digital video cameras? :/

Thanks in advance.

I believe these do AVCHD playback.

Certainly won't expect .mkv playback to work as it would need to understand the wrapper, might be possible to get some other MPEG4 stuff going.
