Hi all.

My goal is to manually skip commercials (advert breaks).

The keyword here is 'manual'. I do not want to use a product that automatically removes commercials or skips commercials, no matter how successful it's claimed to be.

In my mind, this problem is two-fold.

I need:
1. An external program that monitors recorded tv, and maintains a metafile of end times for commercials.
2. A method for pressing a designated remote button to skip by a calculated duration, or skip to a specific point in time.


This also needs to run in Vista Media Center (no TV pack)

Has anyone got this scenario to work?
