Any chance someone here has attempted this? I can't get this as a warranty repair as they were an off-shore purchase and are over 2 years old.

Appears this is a reasonably common issue where pressure on the jack causes connection issues, so unless I mess with the socket I only get audio in one ear. BOSE also doesn't provide parts to 3rd parties which is very frustrating.

[NOTE] updated to change jack to socket to avoid confusion

Bose has/had a service agent in Auckland (Newmarket). Possibly other locations. Might be worthwhile giving them a call to find out what they'd charge.

I am guessing this is what you are looking for.

Don't expect to be able to repair the jack in a way that will make it last, and it might not be easy to get a 2.5mm jack in any case, it is not a standard audio jack.

I wouldn't bother trying Bose's service centre in Newmarket. They are literally months behind and you are better off getting your headphone repaired via CGA.

Actually the is the socket on the headphones themselves. I've tried multiple cables and had no luck.

CGA doesn't apply as these were bought outside of NZ and  as they were a gift I don't have the original receipt anyway.
