Hi there,

This may sound silly, but I notice that watching some hidef footage in store, the framerate seems heaps faster and things look like they are speed up - when I am guessing they are not. Is it to do with the hz or features of the TV or something? Is it possible to view hidef without this effect? Thanks in advance.

cheers,
grol

Film material at 24p off Blu-ray etc is sped up by 4% to convert to our pal system. Hardly noticeable to most people.

i think you are talking about increased frame rates (motion plus with the Sammy models etc).  Yes it can be turned off.  Makes movies look kinda wierd, but then Cloverfield was awesome with it on
