dogsday: Thanks Regs and Asmodeus. Really appreciate the advice. – So if I plug this cards dvb-s inputs into my unused sky dish on the roof I can get Freeview? And not need to worry about codecs?Sorry to be such a newbie about all thisCheers

All sorted now and all freeview channels found via Sky Satellite dish into my DVB-S inputs. Yay and a big thanks to Asmodeus and Regs.
The only other problem I had was with my BTG3540 TV Card. I needed to scan for stations on one of the two DVB-S ports but swap to the other in order to be able to view the channels detected. – A very strange one indeed. So that was all good until a few days back when I started getting MASSIVE stuttering and picture freeze on every station. Is OK some times for a period of time after a reboot but really unwatchable others. Any good tips on solving DVB-S stuttering issues?
