Hi All

Can anyone tell me whether you can record a HD programme in HD by using an DVD HDD Recorder, that is connceted to an HD TV via HDMI?

I believe that the answer is no, but just wanted confirmation. Is this why DSE sell Zinwell Dual Tuner 250GB HDD DTR Receiver ?

DVD HDD recorders as sold in NZ use HDMI interface as the "output". They have no ability to record HD or input HD via HDMI or component interfaces. They also contain no DVB-T H.264 tuner that would supply an HD source.
