Johnk:
yeah sorry, when i said two tuners i pretty much meant i want the abillity to record two chanels at once.
I see that card u listed has PCI-E16x interface, my motherboard does not suport this, hence my question, with this motherboard only having 1 x AGP slot (8x/4x, AGP 3.0 compliant), supports 1.5v display card only., and 5 x PCI slots (PCI 2.2 compliant). is it actuly possibly to get mpeg4 HD freeview or is this interface to old?

1gkar: If your video card is anything less than an Nvidia 8500GT or it's ATI equivalent, then don't bother trying to get FVHD; it is wasted effort

you can go for the Nova-T-500 card instead - its DVB-T, has twin tuners and uses a PCI slot
mcraenz: John, not suer why these guys havne't given you the cold hard facts yet but there is no way you will be able to use that box for FreeviewHD. It will make a great little DVB-S box but you will need a PCIe architchure with a NVIDIA 8x00 card for watch FreeviewHD Some may claim this ATI card or that software codec but I will tell you now and many more will back me up:
NVIDIA 8x00 (probably also the 9x00 cards but not 8800GTS) PCIe Graphics card
Basic daul core CPU
PowerDVD Codec
Vista (For EVR)
This is the ultimate FreeviewHD Combination. Anything else and you will be pushing sh1t up hill!
But DVB-S SD is pretty good too.
Johnk:
just want to record freeview, dont have sky yet.
if i was to get a Hauppauge Nova-S, would i also need to upgrade my curent graphics card, or does the Hauppauge Nova-S, take care of all of that?
sorry the dumb questions, im just not that tech savy.
