Hi I'm new to this website.

I just wanna say how good Dick Smith Electronics NZ is for giving a good bargain.
I got a Logitech X-530 Surround sound system (5.1 Channel) for $99.99!!!!!

And for a little budget thing, It puts out damn good sound.

The subwoofer has really deep bass (On quarter volume it shakes up my whole house).
The perfect option if you want Surround sound for your tv or computer (Computer needs a 5 channel Sound card, or you can just buy a TV audio to 3.5mm Conversion cable from Dick Smith for 16 bucks)  WORKS WITH IPOD IF YOU HAVE A CONVERSION CABLE.

The sound from the 5 speakers is primo!! If you don't like the subwoofers noise, You can just turn the volume down on the back of the subwoofer.

Yes, I got the Logitech Z4 after reading lots of reviews and am very happy with it. It is an excellent 2.1 system if you don't want to go to 5.1. I find it really good for ITunes etc, the only problem has been sorting out all the things in the office that start buzzing with bass notes!

Yes I own two sets of the Logitech 5.1 Z5500 THX (500watts RMS). Awesome sound and heaps of grunt !! The best speakers and value for money in this price range of $400 - $500.

gehenna: good deal?  I got the same speakers from dick smith a bit over a year ago for $79.95.

Same here, but even at $99.99 I think these are excellent value.  The only thing I would fault them on is not having a remote control, but for the price, hey...

I brought them for the 20" LCD in the bedroom (which now now also has an HP Media Extender attachedSmile) but can't give it too much welly as the neighbours complain - ha ha!

At the same time I also brought some Logitech R20 speakers (2.1) for less than $50. Again great speakers but I need to add a volume control for the sub.  In fact, now that this thread has reminded me, I'll go and buy one...
