Recording live tv on our new LGTV is cutting off approx five minutes at the end of show especially on TVNZ 2. I have been through the settings but I have been unable to find a way to adjust record padding. Anyone have any ideas?

Go to TV guide. At top right of screen there are four icons.

When magic pointer above them, third one across is TV Scheduler. Click on this.

Click on recording interested in, and then at top right edit button, click on this.

It should be self explanatory from there on.

I don’t have your model one, but have two TV’s a few years apart, both have same menus.

Also if you press recent button, the TV scheduler May show in list of applications at bottom.

If set a program to start a few minutes earlier it will when record change the recording name to earlier program on the recordings list, the annoying thing find with it, but adding time on at end should be fine, but can only record one channel at time, so as long as not recording different channel straight after.

I haven’t found an option to auto add 5 minutes etc to each recording as a global setting, seems each one has to be done manually.

If I hit record for the show that is on it will record to end ok it is the scheduled recording that is stopping too soon.
I do have a couple of back up plans, 1. Grab the Panasonic ….280…. HDD recorder I have in the garage somewhere and reinstate that. 2. Tell my wife it can’t be done, a less than ideal solution. We don’t record much maybe 1 or 2 shows a week so I don’t want to waste any readies on it and don’t want Sky back.

If it’s only one or two shows a week doing a manual edit should do the trick. If show is on same day(s), time each week recording can be set with recurring time, days, so edit once for recurring.

Also while recording, no other channels can be watched so it’s no replacement for MySky recording. For TVNZ everything seems available on demand, I use that a bit.

Have also got rid of MySky, mainly was used for Freeview recording.

I’ve set up a test record this afternoon TV2 with USB drive, see if cuts off. Haven’t added to end.
