Hi,

I've been running EPG Collector for years, for Media Center on Windows 10.

Recently I noticed that the program guide on Freeview has a Program.Type, but that does not import to Media Center with EPG Collector.

Is there a way that I can configure this and get program categories in Media Center?

Cheers

I assume by program type you mean category such as drama, comedy etc.

I've just run a satellite collection of EIT data and the categories show up in WMC fine.

What version are you running?

It's version 4.3 FP 31, and mine is DVB Terrestrial. Many thanks.

I notice that my collection method for DVB Terrestrial is MHEG5, for which I cannot find a cfg file with program categories.

When I watch Freeview on TV, and show the program's info, I see the parental rating there, as well as a "Program.Type" (which I haven't noticed until recently, so it might be fairly  new ...???)

Change to collecting EIT. There is no category available in MHEG5.

Thank you @SJB. I have tried to change my DVB-T to EIT on the EPG Collector Collection Parameter page, but when I press Update, it opens the Advanced Parameters for Frequency 562 page, on which I have no idea what to fill in.

I am based in New Zealand, Wellington, using Mount Kaukau DVB-T.

Cheers

On the Advanced Parameters just tick the second option - Use FreeSat/Huffman.. - and then OK.

Then 'Yes' to overwrite and it's done.
