Hi guys , wife's wanting us to have a early Christmas present and asked me to find a outdoor projector that we can use during the day time. So i see we need something that is at least Ansi 3000 lumen, but they are over $2k and hard to get here in NZ. any recommendations. Will be under shade but bright and shot on to a grey wall. can install outside projector screen if there's one that can withstand salt in the air as we live near the beach.

any help would be welcome

3000 lumen will barely be visible in daylight outdoors. Honestly, the only real solution for something that is really usable in daylight is a LED screen....probably out of the price range in this case.

Yeah that's why it's not just ordinary lens it has to be ANSI 3000 lumens which is a lot more than basic lumens

you will possibly get something that you can see a little bit of the white when its in a shaded area. If you think you are going to see anything on a screen that has daylight on it you will not.

You need to get the samsung terrace TV to have an almost usable outdoor viewing experiance. A projector will be like shining a flashlight on the wall in daytime. Nothing to see.

You’ve got no chance with a 3000 lumen projector on a grey wall in daylight. It’ll be unwatchable.

I have a 6000 lumen projector I use for events (cost approx $5.5K). Just about does the job with bright interior lighting but is next to useless outside.

That would be the go, but unfortunately that's a 6+ hr drive for us plus the Same home. I can get a good deal on a weather proof box that allows me to put any TV in it. So might have to go that route
