Looking for a branded set of wireless headphones rather than the cheap ones I've been buying ;)

I don't want to spend oodles.

I get good pricing via work on the following - any opinions/experiences on either ?

JBL Tune 520BT | Wireless on-ear headphones

https://www.panasonic.com/nz/consumer/home-entertainment/headphones/headbanded-headphones/rb-hf420be.html

Mainly will be using for listening to audiobooks and music, and occasional videos (however I do know there is a slight "lag" when using BT)

Value for money JBL , good battery life

These are great if you want to spend a little more fanstastic with turntables and noise cancelling on a plane

I just got some of these - they were on special last week for $189.

I've found them to be very good - they replaced a pair of 2+ year old JBL Live 400BT which were on-ear rather than over-ear, but are otherwise incredibly similar.

I use a pair of JBL 710BT with the PC at home. Cost me a lilttle over $97 at the beginning of June from PB Tech. Good battery life, also comes with the backup of a physical cable, if needed.

At the office, or commuting I alos have a pair of Sennheiser HD450's. Can't tell a heck of a lot of a difference between the cheaper JBL's and Sennheisers really.

I bought these a few weeks ago.

https://www.noelleeming.co.nz/p/jbl-live-660-bluetooth-noise-cancelling-headphones---black/N204440.html

They are a bit tight on the noggin.

Excellent Noise cancelling to my wife's disgust as she has to yell at me to hear her.

Worked well as a headset on my phone, I had a 1 hour call with the bank and it did not skip a beat.

Take the headphones off and it pauses the video.

The down side.

I can not get it to work woth 3CX on my phone or computer. I can here the tones when I am dialling a number but then there is no audio, Audio kicks in 19 seconds later, I dont think the mic is working either, I ran out of time to test.

I got some Anker Soundcore ones off AliExpress for like $90 and they have been great. Im sure they aren't as good as the Sony ones but they are more than "good enough".

These JBLs are pretty similar to a pair my wife owns, which would worry me in that the longevity of hers has been poor: the classic disintegrating ‘fabric’ on the ear pads after a few years problem. This alone would make me wary.

But can I also suggest that being absolutely clear as to what your parameters are up-front will mean people’s suggestions are more likely to meet your needs - eg provide a budget, state they must be available at NL’s…

as above . . .
If your budget is only $80 then stick with either Soundcore or Soundpeats.

In that price range they will be significantly better than anything from the better known brands
