Heya,

I have a an acer extensa 2300 laptop that I need to do something with... I was thinking of putting ubuntu on it with a media player of some type and using it as a media PC. The only problems I can see are how to connect it to my amp as the laptop only has a 3.5mm mic out and vga out. How would I connect this up?

Or

I could use the laptop as a home server (ubuntu server). I am not quite sure why I would want to do this..?
