I currently have an HDMI splitter connected to a Sky box in the dining room.
Plan A: One cable goes to the TV, the other to a wireless HDMI transmitter.
The HDMI receiver in the other room (Room 2) works sporadically at best.
Plan B: I intended to get a cat6 run done between the 2 rooms and use HDMI over ethernet adapters but that has hit a wee snag.
Plan C:
Techy person's proposal is to move the Sky box to a location where it we can run cables to it more easily from the Matchmaster Multiswitch 10MM-MST08, ie Room 2's wardrobe.
Install a HDMI to Digital TV modulator (COFDM output) and feed both TV's with Freeview and Sky over coax, and use IR extenders to change Sky channels.
Does this sound like a reasonable solution and how would it work?
I've asked techy person but he's out on jobs and I'm feeling impatient.
I've looked at Matchmasters website for a HDMI to Digital TV modulator with COFDM output, but I cannot identify it. No part number was supplied on the quote.
