I have a Nvidia Shield that I intend to sell but I need to identify which model it is.

Its not a 2019, under description it says T210/Darcy LPDR4/A08/A0TAG

The model number is P2897

There is no micro-sd slot.

Is there a definitive way to determine what model it is?

Thanks.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

According to the model numbers its a 2019 shield pro model. Both searching up T210/Darcy LPDR4/A08/A0TAG and P2897 both say 2019 Shield Pro.

Apparently if you go to Settings/Device Preferences/About/Status/Device information and look at description it'll give you the CPU. If it says Tegra x1+ it's a 2019. But apparently Darcy means its a 2017..  So who knows!

P2897 is Shield pro 2019, according to this:

2019 shield also changed to the triangle remote, which may be an easy way to differentiate versions

Amazing that the original 2015 shield is my primary streaming box. And that the 2019 version is still (arguably) the best streaming box on the market.

A lot of people are hopeful that Nvidia will launch a new version of the shield, based on a (perhaps low binned) version of the Nvidia T239 chip form the recently released Switch two.  A bit more ram, HDMI 2.1  and AV1 support would go down very well.

On the other hand, streaming boxes are getting increasingly niche, as most consumers are fine with the systems baked into their TV's, and Nvidia AI chips are so profitable they can justify sucking resources from other parts of the business.

If we get another Shield TV, I suspect it'll be built on the dud chips that don't meet qualification for the Switch 2. Depending on yields, it might be another year or two before we see that Shield TV model, if at all. The other option is that Nintendo go the opposite way of the Switch Lite and make a Switch 2 without a screen, to run permanently in docked mode. Could potentially help market penetration.
