Anyone had any power-up problems with this model?

I've had one for a couple of days and I think it's faulty :-(

It randomly fails to come out of stand-by.

I've followed the trouble shooting guide and checked all the speaker wirings twice over.

The unit has been running fine apart from this but for what ever reason when it decides not to come out of standby and power up properly the thing is dead in the water.

Will probably return to the retailer tomorrow..

Paul

Follow-up to my last post.

Took the unit back in to the retailer today. After explaining the fault and what I had done to try to resolve it was given a brand new (unboxed) unit as a replacement to take home 20 mins later.

Happy with that...

I've now connected the new unit up and am waiting with fingers crossed that I have no further problems like those encountered with the first unit.

Heard most still selling for under $1k, you sure it wasn't a TX-SR609? The new models will definitely be allot dearer due to our $.

JB's website have what I think is the SR606 listed for $996, which is what I seem to recall it selling for when I was in there last week
