I recently bought a 2025 TCL C7K 75" QD Mini LED TV to replace my 2019 Panasonic GZ 1000 65" OLED TV in my Man Cave.
I planned on selling my Panny for around the $800 mark, but when my son came to help take it of the wall mount, he noticed that the TV had many dead pixels around the edge of the display.
It wasn't something that was noticeable when watching movies at a normal seating position, but stood out when shown to me. The TV has only been used to watch movies once or twice a week and I thought that it would be an easy re-sale, but it now sits in my junk room while I decide what to do with it. I don't feel comfortable selling it on, yet it is still a good TV. The question is, will the problem get worse.
I searched Google and found that it is a known problem with LG panels used on these models, and had I known about it sooner, I could have got a full replacement because it was a known problem. I don't think that every panel is affected, but if you have one of these TV's, it may pay to get up close and check it out..
In the mean time, do I scrap it or offer it for sale advising about the dead pixels?
