I am wanting to beable to stream from my phone, to 2 different tvs at the same time. I have a tv in the lounge and one in an outdoor area(only 15m and 1 wall between them)

I want to beable to do this tirelessly, so I dont have a cable across the room. My idea would be have my chromecast plugged into an hdmi splitter, one outlet going into the first tv, the other outlet going into an hdmi wireless transceiver. Then have the reciever plugged into the 2nd tv.

I was about to buy this: https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/AVEMNX1018/MINIX-H1-1080P-60Hz-HDMI-to-HDMI-Wireless-Extender

But after reading the reviews I see it wont carry audio... so makes it useless for what I require.

Are there any other simple options im not thinking of?

3.06ghz Celeron(gonna overclock to 3.8ish)

1gb ddr 400

30gb hard drive(upgrading(

Computer made from parts i have lying around.

Yeah, two streamers.    I don’t knowing that you’re trying to do is cost effective.

The OP is asking whether it’s possible - not what it will cost.

So possibly with some sort of powered splitter.  Might be a few hundred.  Or shove it in an Avr with multiple output channels.

@u13turbo What type of phone do you have and what content are you wanting to cast?

This is odd. The specs make no mention of no audio support. Googling shows it absolutely supports audio. The product description refers to Netflix, Disney etc - it could not say that if there’s no audio by design.

The reviews you have seen must be exceptions - eg people using it at extremity of its range or in an adverse situation.

At the price-point, I would buy it and try it. If the audio is a problem, take it back for a refund.

Where does it say it can do two tvs in one go?

reading the description and looking at their images seems to suggest it’s just a one to one….

looks horrible to be honest and doesn’t use your home wifi….just direct pairing to the TV.

(And again, reading the description and images, it doesn’t mention multiple screens).

It doesn't. OP's plan is to use a Chromecast and a splitter.

Actually I can't see audio mentioned at all for the MINIX H1 on their website. The MINIX B14 does actually mention "Audio-video sync technology for truly immersive watching". Perhaps the B14 (also available at PBTech) transmitter connected to a Chromecast via female-female HDMI adaptor would do what the OP requires? Yes, the B14 has for receivers, but surely it would still work if only utilising two of the receivers?

@stu The B14 is at a very different price-point - for a bit of an experiment.

Given OP's plan to use Chromecast and splitter, he'd be paying for four RX but using only one.

@eracode - I wouldn't waste time buying something that already doesn't appear to be able to do what's required. Audio is not mentioned in the H1 specs. OP says reviews also point to no audio.

OP didn't say they want to do it on the cheap, they said they want it to work without fuss. I've simply offered an option that should work.

If the B14 works in the required way, and it appears from the Minix website that it should (one HDMI source, display on up to 4 devices), then surely it's worth the price? If it doesn't work, it's not fit for purpose and can be returned.

The only product I can see that mentions audio is the 1-4 unit. No splitter required. Just connect the Chromecast to the transmitter via a female-female HDMI adaptor and it should work as expected.

Unlike audio products, there is no multirooming on video streamers. Splitting the output of one and sending it to the screens however you can is the only way to get content in sync (somewhat because of laggy TVs and transmission) on multiple screens.

This video says that the H1 flawlessly supports synced video and audio.

That's great, @eracode. Please remember, it was the OP that claimed audio does not work with the H1, based on reviews they'd read. I made no such claims and merely pointed out that Minix does not (for whatever reason) mention audio support for the H1 model on their website, as far as I could see. The B14 does however definitely mention audio support, and I pointed this out.
