Hi,

I have a Samsung CD55 (old CRT model) brought from South Africa.
The picture is cristal clear, however, there is no sound. I know that I need to select the correct "sound zone" from the menu, however, I have no remote.

I have an universal remote control (with about 10 codes for Samsung TVs) but I didn't manage to find a button for the setup button (I have found for up/down, volume, picture etc).

Can you give me any hints and maybe a store in Wellington where I could find a compatible remote control?

Cheers.

Just pass the AV output to your SA TV AV I/P of a locally bought PVR/VCR, as long as it has a tuner built in and then change the chans on the new devices remote.

You would have to swap out the tuner of your TV to get it working locally and that would cost more than a VCR or whatever.

Just remember TV1 will be in Afrikaans :P

I thought about this option but I don't really want a VCR.
All I really need is a remote control that will have the "menu" button to be able to change the sound zone. I did this for another TV and it worked just fine.

Very few have this option. Trust me. (Sound Zone)
