Hi,

I'm creating a new thread on this topic as the first one has since been locked.

I have just upgraded the SkyTV Digital service at home, to MySkyHDi and as a result, a new set-top-box has been installed.

I have a Logitech Harmony One universal remote, which I am trying to setup to work with MySkyHDi.  Now, as taken from the first thread on this issue:
1) The actual model number for MySkyHDi is a Pace TDS850NNZ
2) Although there is an entry for the TDS850NNZ in the Logitech database, it doesn't work all that well with MySkyHDi
3) It has been suggested to use the TDS850NF model

When the selected, the TDS850NF model definately works a lot better on the Harmony remote, but it still isn't perfect. Things like the Back/Return button does not work.

Has anyone managed to successfully setup their Harmony remote by selecting a specific model of PVR? If so, what was it?

If you have managed to get your Harmony remote working 100%, but had to make some manual changes, what were they?

Cheers,
BuckoNZ

you always need to to a bit of tweaking of buttons with a Harmony no matter what device you set it to...

we ended up changing the decoder model to whatever was suggested somewhere on here, works a lot better now.

Yeah, the TDS850NF was working better than intended. Also, I "manned up" and start manually changing a coulpe of things and it's working better now.

Hi,

I use the Pace TDS-460NNZ, which I set up for the original MySky. But it works well with MySkyHDi too.

Thanks Mike... I might give the TDS-460NNZ a try. I still can't get the 'Return' button (the looped arrow) on my Harmony remote to work in all instances, which is really annoying!

Although you shouldn't really need to, have you tried using the command learning function to teach the Harmony the 'Return' button command from the original remote?

I had the same issue with this as well.
I ended up just choosing the Foxtel IQ2 (from memory)

Works as expected (although I did customise some buttons)

Same here with my 1000i.
Sometimes it is better to overwrite a particular command using the learn function.  I have had to do that with several remotes in my system.
As has been pointed out previously the IR codes used by the mysky boxes are a little bit 'special' so using the harmony database is relying on someone elses upload.

My problem is the "definition" of the button (i.e. what the button is called on the Harmony unit itself and what Pace function I want it mapped to).

The 'Return' button (as I'll continue to call it for now) works as expected in some instances, but doesn't in others. For example: while watching a particular channel, hitting the 'Return' button will send me to the previously watched channel. However, while going through the guide, the 'Return' button will not take me to the previous menu/screen?

I will try the "mapping" idea and give that a go.

Does the original remote work that way your describe as well? If it does then it is nothing to do with the Harmony it is just the way the software on the MySkyHDi is configured.

I used the same approach as elusivenz, ie the foxtel definition.

Success with both a hamonyOne, a 785 and a 1000i

All work as expexted

Well, I did the mapping thing... the 'Return' button, as I've been calling it,  is actually called 'Previous' and I mapped it to the Pace 'Back' command. Works well.

I think you're all over-thinking this... for my Harmony 525 I just put the manufacturer as 'SKY' and the model as 'MySky HDi' and it worked perfectly first time. No messing around needed.

I used the Foxtel IQ2 / model TDS850-N. Works pretty well, with the exception of 3 things:
- No "return" button. Using the software, when setting up an activity, you can remap certain buttons. I selected return on the logitech "Back" button
- No button to directly go the planner. I use the planner more than the "Guide", so remapped the guide button to go directly to the planner
- Holding down up/down/left/right, channel change, and volume keys only skips 1 step. You have to "spam" those keys to get anywhere. The original sky remote would step through multiple channels or items in the planner if holding the key.
