Just wondering how/what people use to clean their plasma screens ?
Thanks to little miss, we now have grubby fingerprints all over the screen :)

Proper LCD/Plasma cleaner isn't expensive and does a good job.

Never under any circumstances use glass cleaner on a LCD or Plasma. The ammonia and/or alcohol present in these has the potential to cause damage to the polymer coatings.

And don't use paper towels - apparently the fibres are quite abrasive. Paper tissues probably better.

Just warm water - maybe a touch of soft-soap added into the water to remove the finger prints.

MicroFibre cloths seem to be the way to go - look on TradeMe. Rewashable, and do a damn good job cleaning off muck etc without needing to use water - once water is involved it tends to streak - there will always be an angle that shows the streaks :-(

I use a microfibre from the optometrist for cleaning both my specs and plasma ...

How would you know if you had fuzzy eyes, or a fuzzy plasma? Laughing

I got some free screen cleaner chucked in when I bought my 50" Panny. And a microfibre cloth.

Works well.

DO NOT USE THE MICROFIBRE CLOTH ON THE SHINY PLASTIC SURROUND.

It will scratch it faster than Nate can think about ordering KFC for [insert meal or snack occasion here].

I have been using a Scotch Brite High Performance Glass and Dusting Cloth ($6 odd from foodtown). It is a great cloth and does a magnificent job. If there is stubborn dirt or fingerprints I just dampen the corner.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

If our kids went anywhere near our TVs they know they wont be watching them for a month. Pudney do an excellent LCD/Plasma gel screen cleaner with a dual cleaner cloth, one side for apply and clean and the other for final wipe - works great, expensive but well worth it.

Yes, microfibre cloths are all good, and whatever you do, apply the liquid or spray cleaner to the cloth, NOT the panel, prevents any issues with liquid seeping into guts of panel at edges where you cannot see it behind surround, otherwise there is possibility of liquid causing corrosion or delamination where ribbon cables connect to panel - especially applicable to plasma panels that have panel drive ribbons connecting to panel substrate at sides, and sometimes the bottom as well.
