Hi There!

I am looking for the recommendation of an excellent well supported TV Tuner Card, PCI Preferably. Would be nice if it had ability for dual channel recording, and OSD of TV1. 2, 3 Prime Etc..  Freeview HD Would be a nice extra. Cost isn't the primary concern.. Software compatibility and user friendlyness and ease of support are much more important.

Would be nice if it worked with Windows 7 Release Candidate.

Hi Networkn,

Perhaps a Hauppauge WinTV Nova T 500 HD?
It is dual tuner, Freeview HD compatible.
I don't don't anything about Windows 7, I used the card successfully with a MythTV system.
As it happens, I have one of these, purchased earlier this year, that I would like to sell.
It's been used precisely twice (it works well!) and is complete in original box with Remote, IR receiver cable, manuals etc.
Its still under warranty, was purchased via cash sale from PBTech.

Happy to provide more info if you are interested.

Cheers,
Joseph.

I have the WinTV Nova TD-500 (slightly newer chipset to the T-500 I believe), works quite well. If you're after something that'll do Prime you'll have to go for something like the HVR-2200 which has 2 tuners in it and the ability to play both DVB-T and analogue - but that's PCIe.

You might want to look at MediaPortal for the software, it's got a very nice UI and the ability to playback & record multiple channels from the same transponder (I'm not sure if W7 has this ability), and it's open source. So in my setup I have a TD-500 (dual DVB-T tuner) and an Asus U3100Mini (USB DVB-T tuner), theoritically I can record/playback every Freeview channel at the same time - although I don't think my hard drive will like it very much!
