Hi All

Using Windows 7 MC, all is great, except that every so often (no timed pattern) audio on TV3 will drop for a second, then return as normal.

This occurs on both live and recorded media - however it NOT in the recording, as if we rewind and play the the part of the video where the audio was previous missing, it is there now.

Therefore I assume it is something to do with how media center is playing the audio stream.

The machine is a clean build, with no codec packs or anything like that installed.

The Audio device is Realtek HD Audio - with the latest drivers from the Realtek website, using the optical output.

Any ideas?

Cheers
David

Are you using the Release Candidate version of Win 7 ?

I saw this issue in the beta (with and without codecs installed), but have not seen it in the RC yet .

I have the identical problem only it's on all channels.  Interestingly, I am having to use the Windows 7 built in driver for the realtek audio card as when I loaded the Realtek driver I got no audio at all.  I have a NVidia 9400GT and I am using the SPDIF out.

I get this very sporadically on TV3 only with Win 7 RC1. Often when I first start up media center. Sometimes changing channels fixes it, sometimes I need to close media center and restart. Happens maybe once per week...?
