Does anyone have this remote?  I just got mine today.   Can you tell me whether the transport buttons (stop, play, etc) have labels below them?  In all the stock pictures (on the box, on the website) they do, but mine doesn't.  Most of the pictures on trademe aren't of the actual item but a couple are and look to be the same.

Nope, mine only has labels on the keys, not below.

The remote did have lables below the keys when they were first introduced but the labels rubbed off so they decided to remove them soon after release.

OK, that explains it. Makes sense I guess. I suppose it wasn't worth redoing the pictures. Anyway, we all know what all the symbols mean, right? :)

Has anyone had any luck discovering discrete codes for their Philips LCD TV? The models I've tried on my Harmony have Power On/Off (which work), InputAV, InputScart (no scart on my TV?) etc but they don't seem to function as expected. None of them change inputs, some of them bring up other menus.

I found a wealth (not really weatlh but a few pages) of info on the web relating to Pronto remotes and Philips and I understand there's a way to transfer these codes to teh Harmony, but I don't want to bother Logitech CS unless I know something may work.

My TV is 42PF7421. Few years old now, I guess. I think chiefie had a Philips with his 880, did you ever get it to work with discrete inputs?

If you have the original remote you can always teach the Harmony the codes you want

In addition the troubleshooter part of the harmony programming (internet based) allows you to tell the programmer how your inputs are addressed (rolling menu or discrete codes).
Learning new codes to the remote is relatively painless and can alleviate 'miscoding' that may have crept into the database from other sources.

Except that usually, as in my case, the remote doesn't have discrete input or power buttons. This is not to say that the TV doesn't have discrete codes available to it. Maybe I should try a newer Philips model and hope for the best...

Hmm - that is a dilemma I also faced. My TV has 5 video inputs but the remote has no direct access - you bring up a menu and then scroll down (in fact I am sure that's an option in the Harmony program for channel changing).

I found a similar model in the database that had 4 discrete inputs and used that. To get to the 5th input I just have the Harmony send the discrete command for input 4 and then send Next Input.

No discrete power buttons must mean I am guessing, that pressing any channel or input button turns the TV on? If that's the case why do you need a discrete power button?
