Has anybody found that when De-Interlacing in mediaportal is set to Auto it keeps jumping off and on while watching some programs (The Amazing Race is one on TV 2) keeps flickering and is really anoying, Tried a few codecs but the result seems the same.

This is on Satellite BTW.

Have you tried using the shift+! to see if you are getting jitter or FPS jumps? It's very handy to assist with diagnoses.

Yeah I had a look at that (do you get a jitter of zero? I usually have 1 or 2)

The deinterlacing thing is more to do with camera shots changing, when they do for some programs the auto deinterlacing seems to switch "off" then you can see the "saw tooth" effect for a split second then deinterlacing switches back on.

Maybe a MP reinstall might fix it.
Thanks for the reply

I usually also get a small amount of jitter.

What MP version are you using? Has this always been the case with earlier MP versions if tried?

1.0.2, even this version was fine. I think I may have upset something when installing some new codecs, was hoping somebody had come across this before and fixed it. I think reinstalling will be my fix here.
