Hi

I have had a good working RC freeview system working well.  Then the TV3 sound stopped working.  But the recorded clips from tv3 work fine in WMP.  I thought something |I had downloaded had cocked things up (powerdvd, divx, xvid, ffdshow) so I did a clean reinstall.  Still no tv3 sound in MC, but fine in wmp.  What is going on? Has tv3 changed?

Ivan

TV3 uses AAC and AC3. Do you have a AAC audio codec eg. monogram?

As I understand it all the DVB-T channels use AAC. TV3 is the only one at the moment that uses AC3 as well so that is probably the problem (besides Win 7 does not need any extra codecs for our AAC) Have you tried selecting the other audio stream ("i/more" button on remote then along to language and "ok" on the other available stream) How do you get your audio out? ie built in speakers, analogue or digital?

Do you have the sound playing though the TV or a amp and is it connected via HDMI?

Thanks for the replies. as always it was something simple. Under settings>TV>audio there is a check box that disables dolby digital when you tick it. Looks a bit unfinished as its the part where you tick nightmode etc. Dont know how it got unticked, I blame a certain 5 year old with a harmony remote....
