Hi there - I am new here...

I have been a huge consumer of geekzone to set up my HTPC. It has been an excellent resource, especially with getting the sattelite card working in Visa.

I have one Hauppauge WinTV Nova-S-Plus in the sysem which receives all the freeview channels. This works well, but I am not able to record two channels or record a channel while watching another.

The solution to this is of course is to install another DVB-S card, however the system does not have enough room in it to add another card.

Can anyone lead me to a Dual DVB-S card?

P.S - I should point out that I am in Gisborne so using a DVB-T card is (sadly) out of the question... for now.

I dont think there are any locally on sale in New Zealand. So your options are, order a blackgold from the us/uk, a pinnacle dual dvb-s card or there may be some dvb-s usb devices around, I've not looked into that.

Finally, I'm not sure if the HDHomeRun can be used for DVB-S (I know it can do dvb-t or dvb-c).

For the cost of those first two cards, you could probably potentially update your motherboard to one with more pci/pcie slots.

Just another option.
