I have set up an HTPC and it is working great, but I now would like to be able to record radio on it as my partner is appearing in a radio interview. I am using a HVR-2200 tuner card and have tuned in all the radio stations I could find, and while they all play alright, I cannot find any option to record.

Any advice on how to do this would be appreciated.

I am thinking you will have to just use audacity or something and record it yourself.

Tell me something. After listening to FM radio for an hour or so, does it break up and get all choppy?

I haven't used it for that long, but every few minutes it does seem to skip for a fraction of a second.

Another thing I noticed was that I could pause the radio, I could not fast forward it back to the current time.

Well you will find that after about 30-60mins the signal will get really choppy and eventually become unlistenable. I'm not sure if it is a hardware, 7MC or driver issue...

I've noticed the same choppy audio while listening to FM after 30mins or so. To fix it I just hit pause and then unpause and it returns to normal. Annoying and hoping it has been fixed in the RTM version.

Unfortunately I don't believe that this issue has been fixed in the RTM.

I've started using the Shoutcast MC plug in. 1000's of internet radio stations covering every genre imaginable. The only problem is that it chews through your data at a great rate...
