As of this morning, and i presume an update, Windows 7 has changed my screen resolution and if i change it back and then open up media center it reverts back to the new resolution.

It was at 1024xsomethingorother maybe, and now it's at 1280xsomethingorother and won't adhere to any new resolution i give it.

Anyone else had similar troubles?

I had problems due to a windows ATI driver update (screen was flickering this morning). Did a system restore to before the update and turned off automatic install of windows updates.

Poos, i use Nvidia, and as far as i'm aware i don't have a system restore point. I think i'll be doing a display driver rollback and crossing my fingers.

I had the same issue with a ATI HD 4870. Restore resolved it. Have also set Windows updat to notify.

Driver updates are always optional updates, so they will not be updated automatically through windows update.

I never opted in to install the update it was automatically installed with my automatic updates schedule at 3am - but I noticed an option I had checked that treats recommended updates as important updates (Windows 7 RC)
