I've had my Win7 MC based HTPC going for a while now, and am down to the last few gliches. I'm a tinkerer, so the long process is as much me as it is the OS.

Anyway, to get the machine to sleep properly and reliably I ended up using MST to manage the process. For some reason the whole sleep concept is still too tricky for MS. One of the options I have used which seemed to work was closing the MC at sleep and restarting it on wake. Sounds ok but the music library seems to rescan from scratch on every MC restart. This is a looong process so not what I would say is acceptable. It means I can not wake the machine and play music without a substantial wait (5min?).

Is this rescan 'normal'? Can it be changed anywhere? Any work arounds?

I can confirm I am also seeing this issue.

Cheers
