I need help. We have an inside TV (I'll call it TV1) that is connected to a Blu-ray & operates with a Harmony 1 remote (on Dish Network). We installed a TV outside that is mounted up high on an exterior wall w/ a motorized (IR) Omni mount (let's call it TV2). It is operated by the RF Dish Network remote and it has an HDMI cable that goes from it to a cabinet inside the home connecting it to the same Blu-ray as TV 1 is connected. I used a splitter and a short HDMI cable to hook both TV1 & TV2 into the same Blu-ray. What I did not count on was that although I can play a movie outside it is a process that drives you nuts. One person has to be outside yelling to the person inside what is one the screen so that the blu-ray commands can be done inside. It is a difficult task as the person operating the blu-ray can not see how to make their actions correspond with what is on the screen.
When I invested all this money the communications person I hired said that we would be able to control the blu-ray on TV2 while outside - that was the reason for having the $$$ HDMI cable run through our attic to the inside cabinet. So, they now admit they were wrong and they do not know of a fix that would not confuse the signals of the various devices. Does anyone know of a way for us to operate the blu-ray while we are outside for TV2? Thanks in advance.
