Can anyone suggest any other way apart from the IPOD AV cable which is around $90 ?

Hi,

Is this just for sound, or do you need video as well?

Because for sound only, just a Jack-RCA cable will do the trick and will be cheap as chips...

Most of these types of cables you could even find in a $2 shop
