Very interesting, Intel have raised the bar for HTPC's having finally built all of the HD features we want into the mobo/cpu. About time really.

I will wait for version 2 low power CPU's. Probably use the i3 as my HTPC doesn't need Turbo Boost or VT-d. In fact one would hope they would make an i3 without Hyper-threading or VT at all.

Looking forward to seeing what AMD come up with in the HTPC department now.

that has definately made it on the contender list for the next upgrade. i could see the heat dropping a fair amount and the performance ramping up majorly with that kit replacing my existing amd 3500+ / 8400GS gear.
