Hi,

I have a Bose V20. When I connect my Panasonic BD60 Blue Ray player via the Bose system, the projector (PT AX 100E) goes blank at times when the player is loading something. Ie it goes to the blue screen (showing it is receiving no signal)

For example, when I am in You-tube and it is loading a file, the signal from the V20 to the projector is lost for a few seconds and then it come back. This also happens when I pause a DVD movie

This was not a problem when I connected the DVD directly to projector, so I think it is something to do with the Bose home theatre system...

Has anybody had this type of handshake issueand have you got any suggestions on what to do to fix it (NB: Throwing out my Bose is not an option!)?.

Hi Raj,

I have the same/similar issue when I run my PS3 through my Onkyo receiver to the same projector as you. I'd be interested too to hear if other people are experiencing this.

It happens to me when I load a Bluray (and maybe launch PlayTV, not sure) and I had thought it was when the resolution changes but it could also be handshaking like you say.

i dont think it's a handshake issue. i think it happens because the signal is interrupted bcos of a change in resolution ie it was 1080p all along and then suddenly you are outputting something like say 720p or 1080i - happens to mine. i just accepted it as normal. but perhaps it's not? i have no idea. but for me, it happens when the resolution changes. it does not happen when i put in a bluray which is 1080p (ie the default player signal when it boots). it does not happen when i play a crappy movie file from my ps3 bcos it still outputs 1080p with lots of pixels due to the crappy movie clip.

EDIT: just re-read the posts above. perhaps it IS a handshake issue for you ... hmmm ...

Yeah i'd put my money on a resolution change, in which case it's probably quite normal. I get it when I launch a Bluray at 1080P / 24 vs the normal 1080 50/60Hz of the PS3.

There's an option in the Panasonic menu to opt for black instead of blue when it hasn't locked on to a signal. May switch to that and it won't be so in your face when it happens?

how old is your Bose system?Bose released an update to assist with this issue.call 0800501511 and they can checkyour software and send you update if required.the pano unit you have "should"work ok with the Bose unit.handshake issues affect many different products not just Bose.try the 0800 number and if that fails let me know.
Cheers
