Hi All,

Trying to control Windows 7 Media Center with an IR logitech harmony remote and the IR reciever in the Pinacle nanastick 73e, but it doesn't seem to be working.

If I try to use the remote control that I got with the Pinacle to control the tv aspect of WMC it works fine, and I can set up a profile on the harmony remote for the pinacle, and it sort of works (missing a lot of options (like guide), and occasionally doesn't react to button presses).

I wanted to use the IR reciever that is build into the Pinacle to control not just the TV aspect of WMC, but also to control all of WMC, music, etc.

But when I set up a profile for Windows media Centre, nothing happens, it does not even control live tv.

Does anyone have any ideas?  Is there any further troubleshooting I can do?

Thanks to All
Mike

hey,

It won't work :( I've had the same issue, you'll need an IR Blaster, since the nanostick 73e doesn't have a proper one. The Nanostick only controls a select few of the commands needed, like shutdown and sleep....no other commands seem to work, not even on the mini remote.

I got mine off Ebay, I got a HP MCE remote and blaster for about $22NZD shipped(took 10 days to arrive)

I have moved across the ditch.  Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

Do you have a link to a decent one?
I have done a search and found a few on trademe that come with a remote control for about $20 (prob dodgy quality)
Since I don't need the remote I only need the IR blaster, is anyone able to provide a link?
Thanks
Mike
