So.

I just got a WinTV-Nova-TD-500 dual DVB-T tuner card for my media centre PC thats been working fine with its HVR-1200 for probably around a year or more. Everything is working fine from a media centre point of view (I'm actually running Media Portal), but since the addition of the TD-500, the computer will no longer resume from sleep successfully. Have had absolutely no problems prior to the installation of this card with sleep/resume (the machine automatically sleeps each night and typically gets resumed some time the next day).

Now on resume, the PC appears to power up, but never gets operational again. I've just opened a support call with Hauppage, but am not holding my breath.

Just wondering if anyone else here is using this card and if they are having any issues with sleep/resume.

I'm XP with SP3 latest hot fixes etc...

<sigh> (its a bit annoying to be fair).

Well,

It appears that changing everything to hibernation works fine. Its ugly, but does the trick.

The MCE Standby Tool (MST) has a good reputation for identifying the cause and solving this type of problem. Though I should add that I have never had a reason to try it myself.
